Singers, we are casting for our 2026 season!
Build your New England network and join Boston Summer Opera as an alternative to a traditional pay-to-sing/tuition-based summer festival!
We are currently casting ALL principals, covers, and chorus for our June production of L’elisir d’amore, and all covers for our August production of Il barbiere di Siviglia. Please note that only principals are paid positions.
There will be no in-person auditions; only online submissions.
We will be accepting submissions until Sunday, February 22nd.

L’elisir d’amore by Gaetano Donizetti
Fully staged and sung in Italian with a reduced orchestra. Performances on the first weekend of June.
Directed by Becca Allen and conducted by Luca Antonucci. Rehearsals during the month of May in the evenings.
Covers will be provided coachings, sing in the chorus, and perform in a cover run.

Semi-staged concert performances sung in Italian with a reduced orchestra.
Performances on Saturday 8/22 at Wellesley Hills Congregational Church and Sunday 8/23 at the Boston Synagogue.
Directed by Hannah Shanefield and conducted by Julian Gau. Rehearsals during the month of August in the evenings.
Covers will be provided coachings, sing in the chorus, and perform in a cover run.
